Those following InToo's page will know this (and I thank you for the kind messages) but InToo has been forced to close unexpectedly. Hence, my upcoming show is cancelled. I'm sorry to have gotten your hopes up... especially if you rearranged your schedules to attend the opening night.
I always try to have two solo exhibitions a year. This year both shows have failed to happen. The work is still here in storage but I'm uncertain where to show it. InToo was the perfect place and the perfect crowd for the Mickey/Simpsons and the Townscapes/Trash paintings.
Thanks for the kind messages last night. I'm not against trying again this year. So I'm all ears for suggestions!
This open invitation extends to families. FANTASTIC VISIONS might be the first of my shows to not contain NSFW content. Read about it below!
''Perth seemed to freeze in time during the first lockdown. After two weeks in quarantine, I walked outside to buy my own groceries... and you would think everyone had all perished overnight. The whole town felt abandoned. The parks, the schools, and every local business: empty, ghostly and silent. Just the wind and the trees and the birds. It was uncanny but it was very tranquil. It felt like the new world -- whatever it would be -- was approaching.
These oil paintings are a meditation on my experiences in the suburbs of Perth during the first big covid scare.''
Drinks and food will be provided.
Exhibition continues all weekend.
